New Family Member

Sophie and I are doing great! We closed on our new house on the 1st and are all moved in. We still have a lot of work to do and a lot of decorating to work on, but we have a home of our own. Sophie does so much better sleeping and napping with her own room, and I think once I get some blinds up so will I. We are so excited to have our first Christmas together in our new home, we had the tree up by the second moving day!

We also want to welcome the newest member of the Hoopes family into the world. My brother and his wife such added a new little girl to the mix, Sydnie Marie was born on the 13th. She was 8 lbs and 10 oz and has a head full of dark hair. We are so happy for them and excited to have another cousin to play with.

This is a picture - less blog, but I will soon post some of the new house and the new baby, if I can only locate my camera chord!!!

Its been too long

I have gotten way behind on my blog! But between work and mommy time, there is no blog time.
Sophie and I are doing great. She is growing so fast and is about 7 1/2 months now. She is crawling, babbling, drooling, has two teeth, loves to laugh, loves to eat, and loves her mommy. Here are a few pictures to document the last few months!

I love dressing Sophie up, here she is in her adorable ballet skirt for church.
For Halloween she was tinkerbell! I had swine flu (horrible) so we just stayed in, but put her in her costume for some quick photos! Grandma Connie and Grandpa Ron sent the cutest halloween basket with her name on it that we look forward to using next year. I already have her costume all picked out.

Sophie has turned into the happiest little girl. She is full of smiles and squeals.
Another little dress for church - she always steals the show.

Her favorite thing to do is eat and eat and eat and eat. All day and all night - eat!

Sophie does everything with Grandma while I am at work, she even mows the lawn. She also had her first big tractor ride with Grandpa during harvest and loved it, but I forgot to take out the camera.
I thought this was so funny, she is showing a little bum crack!!!
This is from a while ago, but here she is preparing to drive the boat!

I am so lucky to wake up everyday to this adorable little angel. She is so happy when she wakes up. I look forward to next semester when I only work three days a week and get to be a full time mommy the other four days. She is growing up so fast, we were just talking about plans for her first birthday (still months away, but I am an over planner) and I can't believe she will be a whole year soon. I look forward to out first Christmas together, we should be all moved into out new house by then and will be starting all kinds of new family traditions. I know it is cheesy to say, but she makes life worth living.

Catching Up

I have fallen behind in my blogging, it is difficult when this adorable little girl is taking up all of my time! Sophie and I have had a wonderful summer, here are a few of the highlights.
Sophie is learning to sit up like a big girl in her chair. It is her morning seat while mommy eats breakfast.
We have had our share of crazy events too. Our baby dog Presley was hit by a car. We hurried and got the baby loaded in the car and carefully put Presley in and rushed the 30 miles to the vet. She had to go through a painful surgery and has metal rods sticking through her bone for the next two weeks. She should make a full recovery in six weeks. We are blessed to still have her with us. We have a small family, but we are survivors, this inculdes Presley!
We have had some fun and wild adventures with our whole family. Here is Asia, Dylan and RJ waiting for the adults to get ready for a ride.

Sophie loves being outside. Here she is enjoying some apple juice in her shades. What a sweet little hollywood diva already!!!
Here is Sophie on her first Forewheeler ride - she loved it.
On the road for our fist family vacation! She is riding in style in her new carseat that mommy got for her birthday. We had a great trip and it was nice to get away for a little while.
The Westgate resort had an amazing pool and tons of fun activities for the kids. Sophie is not big enough to join in on all the fun, but she sure loves watching her cousins play.
Sophie has gotten to be good pals with her cousin Dylan. He is such a sweet boy with her!
Here is Sophie chillin in her and Mommy's huge bed! The hotel had a giant bathtub in all the bedrooms, we had some great soaks in the tub (our favorite thing to do)!
Sophie loves her Grandma so much! Here they are at the fair in Wyoming.
Sophie's first ride on a horse. She was amazed all day with these huge animals.
At the pool again playing with cousins. To be honest she spends most of the pool time sleeping in the sun! Not to worry, we are usually under an umbrella.
Presley got a haircut! Her cute little poof was just to much work on a farm with a new baby.
Sophie loves to watch Presley and tries to firgure out what kind of crazy thing that is. She is also reaching out for her now when she gets close. I can tell that in the future they will be great pals.
Asia and RJ are always good for entertainment with their crazy outfits and contstant energy.
We are lucky to be living so close to family even if they forget to put on pants.
Sophie is as cute as ever. At her four month check up she was 13 pounds (48th percentile) and 25 Inches long (74th percentile). She is a squealer and always get a good lung workout everyday.
I don't know what I did to be so blessed in this life. Sophie is the greatest gift that I have ever recieved. She is the joy of my life! We are doing great together, with a lot of help from family. I start work in the fall and will miss being with her all day, but luckily Grandma makes the best babysitter. We are hopefully moving down to Rexburg in October and look forward to decorating our new house. I can't wait to put another nursery together for Sophie. We have had a fun summer and just wanted to share some of the fun with you.
